Inside the Studio

What guides our work?

An insight into the values and thinking that influence how we design and collaborate:

Robbie Avey

Founder

I started Avey Landscapes in 2025 after graduating from the Society of Garden and Landscape Designers (SGLD)-accredited KLC School of Design in London. Retraining offered me a way to bring together my skills from a background in fine art, physical geography, hands-on landscaping, and event management into one unified, more meaningful direction. Each of these experiences continues to influence my approach to design, combining creativity and practicality with insight into natural processes and construction realities.

I find real reward in seeing ideas evolve from concept to reality, creating lasting, positive contributions to our landscapes that can be lived in, appreciated, and enjoyed for years to come.

  • Craft

Design that celebrates artistry and skill. Channelling creativity and an eye for composition, colour, texture, light, and detail to create moments that bring atmosphere, feeling, and inspiration into every space.

  • Balance

Taking a holistic view to recognise the many layers, constraints, and variables within each project and find a harmony between all elements. Always striving to draw out a brief’s full potential as a considered whole.

  • Pride

Approaching projects with integrity, commitment, and respect. We take pride in our work and aim for you to feel that same sense of pride and ownership long after it’s complete.
